Mindgruve is looking for a highly motivated LAMP based developer that is a problem-solver with a documented history of success in web development. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and adept at self-management, possess interactive agency experience or similar, and is looking for a long-term, prosperous and challenging career.

Must Have
  • A broad understanding of web technologies with a familiarity of web standards
  • Expert at object oriented programming in PHP
  • Able to construct & troubleshoot MySQL queries
  • Strong experience working with JavaScript libraries
  • Experience setting up development environments
  • Very familiar working in the LAMP stack
  • Career-oriented individual seeking a long-term, in house programming opportunity
  • Experience working with and integrating APIs
  • Ability to work on multiple projects

Good to Have
  • Exceptional understanding of SQL and relational database design
  • Knowledge of how things work and how to troubleshoot them when they aren’t
  • Standards compliant HTML/XHTML/CSS
  • Well-versed in documentation and version control standards
  • Created jQuery plugins before
  • Ability to rapidly learn new technologies
  • Open source projects such as Joomla, Drupal, Magento a major plus
  • Experience optimizing Apache and performance tuning for high traffic websites
  • Familiarity with asp.NET
  • Ability to work with a Team (designers, project managers, developers)
  • Must be able to turnaround accurate estimates, and analysis quickly
  • Ability to scope out requirements of new projects
  • Excellent time management, problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability and enthusiasm to learn new web development technologies

Candidate Requirements

  • Proficient knowledge in cross-browser compatible CSS, HTML/XHTML programming
  • Expert of web standards and CSS-driven layouts and a master of the DOM
  • Demonstrated experience developing sites with PHP and MySQL
  • Experience with table and tableless based coding practices
  • Experience with SEO best practices
  • Strong experience working with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery
  • Hand-coding web pages that validate without error
  • Good eye for aesthetics and attention to detail
  • Can faithfully convert Photoshop design specifications into a functional front end design
  • Knowledge of open source CMS tools such as Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress, Magento
  • Familiarity with social network connectivity such as developing Facebook Apps a plus
